Where curiosity becomes learning.
Children don't just play at MFDA — they discover. Every song, story, paint stroke, and outdoor adventure is a chance to build real skills. Our teachers weave creativity, exploration, music, art, movement, science, numbers, letters, colors, and culture into joyful, hands-on activities matched to each age group.
Creativity
Open-ended art, building, and pretend play that spark original thinking.
Exploration
Hands-on discovery indoors and out — children lead, teachers follow.
Stories
Daily read-alouds that grow vocabulary, empathy, and a love of books.
Music
Singing, rhythm, and instruments that build memory and language.
Art
Painting, sculpting, and process-based projects that celebrate the journey.

Simple experiments and nature studies that nurture wonder.

Culture
Traditions, languages, and stories from the families in our community.
Age-appropriate activities
Every lesson is tuned to where your child actually is today.
A new theme every month
Each month our classrooms follow a fresh, intentional curriculum designed to gently prepare children for Kindergarten — while honoring that every child grows at their very own pace.
Kindergarten-ready, at their own pace
We meet each child where they are. Some will be writing their name early, others will be perfecting it later — both are exactly right. Our monthly themes give every child the building blocks of Kindergarten readiness in a way that feels like play, not pressure.
